Gay City News had it first: Less than a year after New York State legalized same-sex nuptials, Ross Levi is finished as executive director of the Empire State Pride Agenda.
Here’s the full statement from ESPA, fresh from my inbox:
“Today, the Boards of Directors of the Empire State Pride Agenda, New York State’s leading lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender advocacy organization, announced that Ross Levi is no longer serving as executive director. Lynn Faria, our current deputy executive director, will serve as interim executive director effective immediately.
“’We greatly appreciate Ross’s twelve years with the organization. He has been part of the Pride Agenda’s major legislative victories, culminating in the momentous marriage win last year,’ said Louis Bradbury, co-chair of the Empire State Pride Agenda Foundation and chair of the Empire State Pride Agenda. ‘We wish Ross the very best in his future endeavors.’
