I now have three audiobooks in the queue this summer: Death by Pride, Death in the Headlights, and my Kindle Single, Stop the Car. I am beyond delighted to be working with three stellar narrator/producers and thought it was time for a proper introduction.
Death by Pride: A Kyle Callahan Mystery. This is the third book in the Pride Trilogy and the third one with the fabulous K.C. Kelly. (We’ve previously done Murder at Pride Lodge, and Pride and Perilous). Look for this one in July. You can also listen to a 3-minute teaser here.
A professional actor for thirty years – a Kiwi for the past seventeen – KC has appeared on- and off-Broadway, in regional and community theatre and on radio, television and film. Most recent stage appearances include his Chapman Tripp winning Duncan/Macduff in Macbeth for Circa Theatre and Shylock in The Merchant of Venice for Centrepoint Theatre. Other stage credits include: Lear in King Lear, Meltdown, Taking Sides, The Censor and Speaking in Tongues for Circa; Agememnon, Tzigane and Glengarry Glen Ross for Downstage; and Think Of A Garden for Taki Rua. For thirteen years KC was the Senior Acting Tutor at Toi Whakaari, the National Drama School of New Zealand. See his other audiobooks here.
Death in the Headlights: A Kyle Callahan Mystery Featuring Detective Linda, voiced by the phenomenal Daniela Acitelli, will be releasing at the same time, early July. Daniela nailed it start to finish: she is Detective Linda, so I hope she’s around when this character gets her own series later this year.
“My name is Daniela Acitelli and I am an American Audiobook Narrator and Voiceover Artist from California. My voice is very versatile and has been described as deep and sultry, clear and confident, whilst cheerful and friendly!
Although I specialize in narrating Thrillers and Romantic Fiction, I also have corporate experience in a fast paced Legal environment so if you need someone to narrate your non-fiction book with Corporate or Legal terminology I’m your girl. I am based an hour outside of London and can travel easily in to record in studio. I also have a professional home studio which enables me to fully record and edit to a high standard.
I have a professional background in Acting and Film which influences my characterizations and my ability to tell a great story which I believe is important in both fiction and non-fiction.” See her other audiobooks here.
Finally, my Kindle Single, Stop the Car, will arrive first, in early June. This short story is my personal best in the short fiction medium and I could not be happier to have Braden Wright narrating this. I consider myself lucky to work with all three of these fantastic narrators, and their voices will resonate with me long after the audiobooks have been put into the universe.
“Voice-Over (Audiobook Narrator/Producer). Communications and the Arts has been at the core of my varied career in writing, performance and marketing/PR. B.Sc in Mass Communications/PR with a focus on Writing.
